This product is designed to work only with pools that can vacuum settled material directly to waste and not through the filter. This works with all chemical systems including salt water pool systems. How to Use HTH Pool Care Drop Out Flocculant Distribute the product evenly over the entire pool surface. Do not put this product through your filter. Keep the pump running for two hours and then turn the pump off. Allow the suspended material to settle to the bottom of the pool overnight and then vacuum to waste using the filter on the waste or drain cycle. This product is not to be used in cartridge filters.
