Stine Home & Yard Breaks Ground on Major Expansion in DeRidder, Louisiana
DERIDDER, LOUISIANA – March 13, 2025 – Stine Home & Yard celebrated a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of a major expansion at its DeRidder location, located at 1335 North Pine St. This marks the third expansion for Stine in DeRidder, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to serving the community.
In attendance were nine Stine family members, including both second and third generations of Stine founder JW Stine, Beauregard Chamber of Commerce members, as well as several local and state dignitaries who participated in the groundbreaking.
"DeRidder is my home. I'm so proud to be here," said Wendy Stine, President of Stine Home & Yard. Wendy Stine is a native of DeRidder and served as the manager of the DeRidder store prior to joining the corporate team in Sulphur.
"This store has my heart; this is where I grew up. It's a great day to break ground on our 3rd site in DeRidder, and we couldn't be prouder."
The first Stine in DeRidder opened in 1977 with 15 associates. It was relocated to its current site in 1993 and now boasts a team of 80 dedicated professionals. The new larger store is projected to be completed by Spring of 2026. The building is being constructed directly behind the current Stine location. Once the new store is ready to open, the current building will become a spacious parking lot.
The expansion will dramatically enhance the DeRidder store's footprint, encompassing a total of 115,920 square feet under roof, inclusive of retail and drive-thru areas, all situated on a sprawling 15-acre site. The retail showroom will feature an expansive 81,630 square feet of interior space, complemented by an exterior garden center totaling 41,880 square feet. A dedicated lumber drive-thru will provide 34,290 square feet of convenient access, while 360 parking spaces will ensure ample customer parking.
The new building will enable Stine to expand on existing departments that feature top brands like Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Recteq Wood Pellet Grills, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Ashley Outdoor Furniture, Benjamin Moore, Valspar, Pergo, Mohawk, Stihl, DeWalt, Milwaukee and many more.
